What is Psychotherapy? Psychotherapy is a process in which a trained professional enters a relationship with a client for the purpose of helping the client with emotional issues, behavioral problems, personal growth, etc. The process involves the client and therapist sitting in a “safe space” talking, which is why it is often called “talk therapy”.
